About Founder

Over the years, he gained profound expertise in litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution, specialising in commercial and corporate matters, contracts, takeovers, mergers, international taxation, liquidation, joint ventures, trusts, family settlements and strategic advisory.

He also served with distinction as Public Prosecutor for Income Tax, deepening his contributions to the field of taxation law.

A pioneer and passionate advocate for mediation and arbitration in India, he played a leading role in the development of ADR institutions. He served as a Director and senior faculty member of the Indian Institute of Arbitration and Mediation (IIAM), and as Secretary General of the India International ADR Association. He was empanelled internationally as an Arbitrator and Mediator with APCAM and accredited by the International Mediation Institute (IMI), The Hague.

He was admired not only for his legal brilliance but also for his humility, warmth and his exceptional ability to resolve disputes with fairness and empathy. His contributions in facilitating numerous major commercial negotiations and sensitive family business settlements remain deeply respected. His family includes his wife Nisha George, his daughter Adv. Susy George, and his son Adv. Kurian George. He will forever be remembered as a passionate lawyer, a visionary in mediation, a devoted family man and a guiding mentor whose legacy continues to inspire and influence the legal fraternity.

Late Adv. George G. Poothicote was born on 12th June 1967 as the beloved son of Late P.G. George of the respected Poothicote family and Late Susy George of the Manamel family.

He completed his schooling from the prestigious Lawrence School, Lovedale, after which he pursued his Pre-Degree from Malabar Christian College, Calicut. He later obtained his law degree from the Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram, laying the foundation for a distinguished legal career.

He enrolled as an Advocate at the High Court of Kerala and commenced his practice under the esteemed guidance of former Advocate General M.K. Damodaran. His professional journey spanned over 30 years, marked by commitment, integrity and excellence before the High Court of Kerala and various other legal forums.
